약물 남용 예방 미디어 캠페인 재방송에 관한 보건부장관의 성명서

오타와– 2014년가을에 처음 시작됐던 약물 남용 예방 미디어 캠페인의성공을 힘입어, 이에 관한인식을 높이고 부모님들이 십대자녀들에게 처방약남용과 대마초흡연의 위험성에 관하여 대화하는것을 돕기위한 저희의 지속적인 노력으로써, 저희는 오늘 이캠페인을 다시 시작하기로 발표합니다.
약물남용은 중독, 과다복용 그리고 죽음에까지 이르게 할수있습니다. 2012-13년에는 80,000명이상의 캐나다아이들이 처방약을 약물에 취하기 위해 남용했다고 인정했습니다.
대마초는 흡연시 건강에 특히 큰영향을 받는 캐나다청소년들에게 가장 많이 사용되는 불법마약중 하나입니다. 대마초흡연은 자라나는 십대 청소년들의 두뇌를 손상시키며 그들의 건강에 해롭습니다.
약물 남용 예방 미디어 캠페인은 캐나다의 불법마약에 대응하기 위해 2007년에 시작된 정부의 국가 마약 방지 전략의 산하프로그램입니다. 보건부에서는 일년에 1억 3000만달러를 캐나다의약물 중독 및 남용을 위해 사용합니다. 이 자금은 마약중독의 문제에 관해구 체적이고 효과적인 해결 방안 개발에 사용됩니다.
2014년 정부는 5년동안 국가마약방지 전력의 초점이 불법마약에서 처방약 남용 문제 해결방안을 포함하도록 확장하기위해 4,400만달러를 투자하였습니다.
다시 시작되는 이캠페인은 2015년 8월 8일까지 계속될것이며, 텔레비전과 인터넷상에서 보실수있습니다. 이 광고들은 처방약 남용과 대마초 흡연이 십대청소년들의 발달하고 있는 두뇌와몸에 가져오는 해로운영향을 분명히 보여줄것입니다.
저희 정부는 계속하여 약물남용이 가져다주는 해로운영향과 청소년들에게 마약이 없는 삶을 권장하기 위해 노력할것입니다.

Statement from the Minister of Health on the Re-Airing of the Preventing Drug Abuse Media Campaign

OTTAWA - Following the success of the first wave of the Preventing Drug Abuse media campaign in fall 2014, I am pleased to announce that we are re-launching the campaign today, as part of our continued efforts to raise awareness and help parents talk with their teenagers about the dangers of prescription drug abuse and smoking marijuana.
The misuse and abuse of prescription drugs can lead to addiction, overdose and death. In 2012-13, more than 80,000 Canadian kids admitted to using prescription drugs to get high.
Marijuana is the most widely used illegal drug among Canadian youth, who are especially vulnerable to the health effects of marijuana use. Smoking marijuana damages teens' developing brains and is harmful to a person's overall health.
The Preventing Drug Abuse Media Campaign is part of the larger National Anti-Drug Strategy (NADS), launched in 2007 as the Government's approach to illicit drugs in Canada. The Health Portfolio invests approximately $130 million a year to address addictions and drug abuse in Canada. These funds contribute to developing tangible and effective solutions to the problems of drug addiction. In 2014, the government committed over $44 million over five years to expand the focus of the National Anti-Drug Strategy from illicit drugs to include measures to address prescription drug abuse.
The second wave of the campaign will run until August 8, 2015, appearing on both television and internet platforms. The ads illustrate the harmful effects of prescription drug abuse and marijuana use on the developing brains and bodies of teenagers.
Our Government will continue to raise awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and encourage youth to choose a drug-free lifestyle.
