2. Living Flag presented by Calgary AfterSchool
Prince’s Island Park

Don your red or white and be part of a living version of Canada’s flag! Show off your Canadian spirit in this fun, family friendly Canada Day tradition since 2012. The first three thousand people to check-in are invited to receive a free red or white t-shirt to participate in this enormously popular activity. Anyone else wearing red or white is welcome to join as well.

3. Food Truck Roundup
(between the YMCA and Eau Claire Market)

Food trucks a plenty will be serving up some of Calgary’s most popular street eats at Festival Market near Eau Claire. Have a seat in the laid-back dining hub, or bring a blanket and have a picnic nearby. Local DJs will be spinning tunes for your enjoyment while you refuel before the evening’s festivities. Dishes and beverages will be served from a diverse range of Japanese, Greek, Italian and modern Canadian menus. Remind your inner foodie to bring along some cash, as not all trucks accept cards.

4. FIREWORKS presented by Hudson’s Bay

Set against a breath-taking backdrop of Calgary’s skyline and the setting sun beyond the Canadian Rockies, the 2015 Canada Day Fireworks presented by Hudson’s Bay will hit the horizon with a bang. This world-class fireworks show is synchronized with live music broadcast on 101.5 Kool FM and 95.3 The Peak. So tune in from wherever you happen to be. Stellar viewing opportunities along the entire Bow River corridor will make this a spectacular finale and a lasting memory of Canada’s 148th birthday.

5. Riverfront Festivities

Harry Hays Building (On the North lawn facing the Bow River) – Stage show 7 p.m. – 11 p.m.
Official Canada Day ceremonies kick off in the early evening and the stage will erupt with some of Canada’s most acclaimed performing artists. Grooving to the sounds of indie, rock, pop and folk, Canada Day celebrations on the Riverfront Stage offer a little something for everyone. The high-energy performances will capture audiences and build momentum in anticipation of the fireworks show at the end of the evening.

The Calgary Chinese Merchants Association continues with the spirit and tradition of the Chinatown Street Festival to bring you CHINATOWN FEST on Canada Day. 9. Calgary Stampede Canada Day & Harry the Horse Birthday Bash

Bring the whole family to celebrate Canada Day and the 30th birthday of Harry the Horse! Activities throughout the day include stage entertainment, photo booths, interactive displays, and a whole lot more. Celebrate Canada at Prairie Winds Park

Celebrate Canada is an initiative of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamā’at (AMJ) Calgary. AMJ organizes various programs to fulfill its social responsibility to promote national pride and community spirit. The Canada Day celebration at Prairie Winds Park is attended by thousands of Calgarians representing diverse communities. The event includes flag hoisting and national anthem, greetings by federal, provincial, civic and community leaders, complimentary refreshments, displays, educational activities by various City of Calgary departments, communities, and commercial and Non Profit organizations, recreational activities and games for kids, and guided tours of Baitun Nur Mosque.
