2022년도 캘거리 한인 장학 재단 장학생 모집 공고

I. 장학금 종류 및 금액

1. 대학교 학부 일반 장학금: 2-4학년 풀타임 학부 학생으로 전학년 평균 GPA 3.2 이상인 학생 ($2,000)
2. 대학교 학부 재정지원 장학금: 1-4학년 풀타임 학부 학생으로 전학년 평균 GPA 2.8 이상이며 학비보조가 필요한 학생 ($1,500)
3. 의대/법대/치대 장학금: 각 전공별 1명씩 총 3명을 선발하며 전학년 평균 GPA 3.2 이상인 학생 ($2,000)
4. 한인 사회 장학금: 1명. 한인 사회에 큰 기여를 했거나 역경을 딛고 일어선 학생으로 한인 사회의 추천을 통하여 선발 ($2,000)
5. 예체능 특기자 장학금: 예체능 특기를 가진 고등학교11-12 학년 학생으로 학교 성적 70% 이상이고 대회 입상 경력이 있는 학생 ($750)
6. 국제 학생 지원: 1명. 국적이 대한민국인 학생으로 캘거리 주변의 컬리지/대학에서 공부하고 한인 사회 참여가 많은 학생. 전학년 GPA 3.2 이상 ($1,000)
7. 캘거리 한인 오케스트라 장학금: 캘거리 한인 오케스트라 이사회의 추천을 받은 2인 ($500)
8. 캘거리 대학교 CKSF 장학금: 캘거리 한인 장학재단에서 캘거리 대학교에 기부하여 운용하며 캘거리 대학교에 직접 지원 (지원가능 학과: Art, Science, Nursing, Kinesiology, and Social work, 학부 학생 대상; $2,000)
9. 선발된 장학생 중 2명에게 민병기 장학금 ($5,000) 과 김창영 장학금 ($3,500) 수여

II. 자격조건: 대한민국 출신으로 캘거리 주변에 거주하고 있는 캐나다 시민, 영주권자, 또는 부모가 워킹비자를 소지하고 있는 학생 (장학금 1-5항). 캘거리 주변 (에어드리 이남) college/university에서 공부하는 대한민국 국적의 학생 (6 항).

※ 캘거리 대학교 CKSF 장학금 (https://www.ucalgary.ca/registrar/awards/calgary-korean-scholarship-foundation-scholarship) 과 CKSF장학금 1-4, 6항은 중복 신청이 가능하나, 중복 수여시 캘거리 대학교 CKSF 장학금만 수령이 가능함.

※기타 자세한 사항은 장학금 신청서를 참조 (자격조건, 학업성적, 필요서류 등).

III. 접수방법:

1. 캘거리 한인 장학재단 홈페이지 (calgaryksf.org)에서 신청서 양식 다운 받기 (워드 파일)
2. 자격 조건과 신청 가능한 장학금을 확인하고 필요한 서류 준비
3. 신청서 작성 후, 필요한 모든 서류를 스캔하여 신청서 양식에 첨부한 후 하나의 PDF 파일로 저장하여 온라인으로 업로드 하기
4. 추천인에게 추천서를 info.cksf@gmail.com으로 직접 보내도록 연락
5. 공식 성적표를 다운로드 할 수 있는 링크를  info.cksf@gmail.com 으로 보내거나, 불가능할 경우 공식 성적표를 학교에서 직접 캘거리 한인 장학 재단으로 우편 발송

지원서 양식에 기재된 지원서 준비와 제출 방법을 따르지 않을 경우 감점 처리되며, 서류가 미비된 경우 실격 처리됩니다

IV. 신청기간 및 성적표 제출 주소

• 신청 기간: 2022년 7월1일 - 8월 2일 (5:00pm)
• 주 소: Calgary Korean Scholarship Foundation, 7008 Farrell Rd SE Calgary, AB T2H 0T2

V. 장학금 수여식: 2022년 10월 1일 토요일 3:00pm 한인회관 (7008 Farrell Rd SE Calgary, AB T2H 0T2).

2022 Calgary Korean Scholarship Foundation (CKSF) scholarship application

I. Categories and amounts of Scholarship

1. College/University Regular Scholarship: A full time 2nd, 3rd & 4th year undergraduate student with minimum cumulative GPA 3.2  ($2,000)
2. College/University Bursary Scholarship: A full time undergraduate student with low family income and minimum cumulative GPA 2.8 ($1,500)
3. University Professional Scholarship for Medical/Law/Dental School Students: One recipient in each discipline will be selected. Minimum cumulative GPA 3.2 ($2,000)
4. Korean Community Award: One college/university student who has special contribution to Korean community or who showed successful rebuilt-up from the past. Nomination from Korean community only ($2,000).
5. Special Talent Scholarship: A Grade 11-12 student with talent in music, art, and sports. Competition award is mandatory and school grade should be above 70% ($750)
6. International Student Support: One college/university student with Korean citizenship who actively participates in Korean community works ($1,000).
7. Calgary Korean Orchestra Association Scholarship: Two members recommended by the Board of Directors of Calgary Korean Orchestra Association ($500)
8. University of Calgary CKSF Scholarship: CKSF-donated scholarships to University of Calgary. Apply directly to University of Calgary (Eligible Faculties: Art, Science, Nursing, Kinesiology, and Social work; undergraduate students only) ($2,000).
9. Two of the scholarship recipients will receive BK Min Award ($5,000) and Dr. CY Kim award ($3,500).

II. Eligibility: A Canadian citizen, a landed immigrant, or a child of work permit holder who is of Korean descent and whose parent(s) resides in Calgary and its immediate vicinity (scholarships 1-5). One international student with Korean citizenship studying in college/university in Calgary and its immediate vicinity (Scholarship 6).

※You may apply to both University of Calgary CKSF scholarship (https://www.ucalgary.ca/registrar/awards/calgary-korean-scholarship-foundation-scholarship) and CKSF scholarships (2, 3, 5, 6). If you are selected for both scholarships, you will only be awarded the University of Calgary CKSF Scholarship.

※ Please refer to the application package more information including eligibility, academic achievement and document requirements.

III. How to apply: 

1. Download the application package from the website (calgaryksf.org) in Word format.
2. Review the eligibility, choose the applicable scholarship categories, and prepare the required documents.
3. Complete the application form and insert scanned image of all required documents directly into the application package. Save the document in pdf format as a single file and upload file on the website.
4. Ask your referee to send reference letter directly to info.cksf@gmail.com.
5. Share the official transcript in a digital format with info.cksf@gmail.com. If your institution does not provide the link for digital transcript, ask them to send it to CKSF by mail directly.

Failure to follow application instructions may result in penalties and missing any of the required document may result in disqualification
