2018 캘거리 장학생 모집

I. 장학금 종류 및 금액

1. 고등학교 예체능 특기자 장학금 ($750): 고등학교11-12 학년 학생
2. 대학교 학부 장학금 ($2,000): 2-4학년 풀타임 학부 학생 대상. 선발된 장학생 중 우수자 2명에게 민병기 장학금과 김창영 장학금 수여 (각 $2,500).
3. 대학교 재정지원 장학금 ($1,500): 1-4학년 풀타임 학부 학생 대상
4. 의대/법대/치대 장학금 ($2,000)
5. 한인 사회 장학금 ($2,000): 1인. 한인 사회에 큰 기여를 했거나 역경을 딛고 일어선 학생을 한인 사회의 추천을 통하여 선발
6. 캘거리 대학교 장학생 ($2,000/person): 캘거리 한인 장학재단에서 캘거리 대학교에 기부하여 운용하며 캘거리 대학교에 직접 지원 (지원가능 학과: Art, Science, Nursing, Kinesiology, and Social work, 학부 학생 대상)

II. 자격조건: 캘거리 주변에 거주하고 있는 캐나다 시민, 영주권자, 또는 부모가 워킹비자를 소지하고 있는 한국 출신 학생 (장학금 1-5). 알버타 남부 (에어드리 이남) 지역의college/university에서 공부하는 유학생 중1인에게 소정의 격려금 지원 가능. 자세한 내용은 아래의 신청서 양식을 참고 하시기 바랍니다.

※캘거리 대학교 장학금 (http://www.ucalgary.ca/registrar/node/18291)과 CKSF장학금 2, 3, 5는 중복 신청이 가능하나, 중복 수여시 캘거리 대학교 장학금만 수령이 가능함.

III. 접수방법:

1. 신 청 서 다운받기: MS Word
2. 자격 조건과 신청 가능한 장학금을 확인하고 필요한 서류 준비
3. 신청서에 필요한 서류를 모두 스캔하여 첨부한 후 온라인으로 업로드 하기 (PDF 파일로 변환하여 업로드)
4. 추천인에게 추천서를 info.cksf@gmail.com로 직접 보내도록 연락
5. 학교에서 장학회 사무실로 성적표 보내도록 신청
6. 온라인 접수(링크)

※Additional Information: Minimum requirement

1. Parents and applicant 2017 combined income less than $48,000 - Bursary applicant only
2. Minimum requirement for Cumulative Academic Average (GPA)

• Special talents high school: 70% or higher
• University regular scholarship: GPA 3.2
• University professional scholarship: 1st year GPA 3.2, 2nd year on GPA 3.0
• Bursary: GPA 2.8
• 2nd time University Regular Scholarship: GPA 3.4

I. Categories and amounts of Scholarship

1. Special Talent Scholarship ($750, Grade 11-12 student)
2. College/University Regular Scholarship ($2000/person, 2nd, 3rd & 4th year undergraduate student only. Two excellent students will receive BK Min Award and Dr. CY Kim award ($2,500 each).
3. College/University Bursary Scholarship ($1500/person, undergraduate student only)
4. Medical/Law/Dental School Students ($2000/person)
5. Korean Community Award ($2,000): One college/university student who has special contribution to Korean community or who showed successfully rebuilt-up from the past. Nomination from Korean society only.
6. University of Calgary Scholarship ($2000/person): CKSF donated scholarship to University of Calgary and you can apply directly to University of Calgary (Eligible Faculties: Art, Science, Nursing, Kinesiology, and Social work, undergraduate students only).

II. Eligibility: Korean descendant Canadian, landed immigrant or a child of work permit holder whose parent(s) resides in Calgary or its immediate vicinity (categories 1-5). One international student from Korea studying in college/university in Southern Alberta (South of Airdrie) may receive a certain amount of support from CKSF. For more detailed information, please check the Application kit on website.

※You can apply both U of C scholarship (http://www.ucalgary.ca/registrar/node/18291) and CKSF scholarships (2, 3, 5) but when you win both scholarships, you will be awarded U of C scholarship only.

III. How to apply:

1. Application Form Download: MS Word
2. Check the eligibility and the category of the scholarship and prepare the required documents.
3. Fill out the application form and attach all scanned required documents in it, save it in pdf format and upload on website.
4. Ask your referee to send Reference letter to info.cksf@gmail.comdirectly
5. Send the transcript to CKSF office directly from the school.
6. Apply online (link)
